Welcome to Smith Electrical Contractors, Inc., a merit shop electrical contractor that has been in business in Indianapolis, IN since 1952. The company was started by Rheuby and Ray Smith, and was incorporated in 1957. Currently, the day-to-day operations are handled by President Brad Smith, a licensed electrician in Indianapolis. Mr. Smith has been active in Smith Electrical Contractors, Inc. since 1970.
The corporation is very diversified in the type of work it wishes to secure. Smith Electrical Contractors, Inc., has completed projects in many areas of the electrical industry. These areas include: schools, nursing homes, industrial plants, churches, residential structures, fast food establishments, office buildings, warehouses, governmental works, fine restaurants, shopping centers, and more
The corporation has acquired its work in many different ways through the years. Many jobs have been acquired through both public and private bids. Some jobs have been obtained through negotiated contracts with insurance companies, contractors, and private owners. Other projects have been acquired through the design and build means. We believe this shows our flexibility in being able to service the customer in the best possible manner. Our approach to business is to serve each customer in the manner best suited to his or her needs.
Smith Electrical Contractors, Inc. has a very sound financial base with which to work. We have six service trucks and a bucket truck, which enables us to handle jobs of various sizes from service work to large construction projects. Our facility is located at 410 South Franklin Road, Indianapolis, IN. This facility is our own. The warehouse is clean and well stocked at all times, preparing us to serve client needs as efficiently as possible.
