Allen Clay Tile was founded by Ethen Allen, not the patriot or any connection to the furniture manufacturer, in 1955. The company was located in Indianapolis, IN at the north-east corner of Hamilton Avenue and East Washington Street (2100 Block) on the ground floor of a three or four story red brick Odd Fellows Lodge.
