For more than 80 years, the managers and staff at Shelby County Co-op have been striving to make customers our top priority. Customer satisfaction has, and always will, come first with us. Our customers can always rely on us to meet their needs, whether residential, agricultural, or commercial, at competitive prices and with a friendly attitude.
Shelby County Co-op is 100% owned and controlled by farmers but farmers are not our only customers. We are uniquely positioned to provide quality services for customers in more than 40 counties throughout Indiana and Kentucky. We have facilities in Shelbyville, Bloomington, Underwood, Liberty, New Pekin, Rushville, Glenwood and Palmyra, all in Indiana. We also have an office in Shephardsville, Kentucky. Shelby County has the ability to meet the needs of both farmers and non-farmers alike.
In the mid-80s, we came up with the idea of a corn cob painted on the barrels of our propane trucks. We thought the marketing strategy was so clever that we chose it as our trademark design, and that's the trademark we still use. All of Shelby County Coop's propane delivery trucks and storage supply tanks are painted with that bright ear-of-corn trademark. You can read more about our trademark here.
