Young Mom Shows Gratitude to Cath Lab Team

When a healthy, 35-year-old woman arrives in the ER with chest and neck pain, you might not assume she is in imminent danger. But in Casey Sadler's case, her life was slipping away because of a spontaneous coronary artery dissection.

With the quick action and attentiveness of the our Cardiac Catheterization team, Sadler's story has a happy ending. After receiving multiple stents and a pump inserted to assist the heart, Casey is recovering nicely, returning to work and participating in cardiac rehabilitation three times per week.

She is grateful to have her life back and wrote appreciative Treat People Better award nominations for the staff of the Cardiac Cath Lab, ER physician Dr. Mark Tompkins, and cardiologists Donald Rothbaum, M.D. and Robert Glassman, M.D. Thanks to their teamwork, Casey is alive to help recognize the Cath Lab team and physicans who saved her life.

Thank you for the wonderful visit (to the Immediate Care Center in Plainfield). Everyone was friendly, and very efficient, on a very busy day.

I noticed that everything was very clean and the employees all washed their hands several times.

The doctor (David Baugh, M.D.) did a wonderful job of explaining about my son's illness, and gave us a sample of medication, as well as a coupon for when we filled the medication at the pharmacy. Having the sample was very helpful because I didn't have to stop and wait at the pharmacy on the way home with a sick child.
