When we first decided to open Nicky Blaine's we knew that downtown did not have a nightclub that was really adult oriented. Visitors options were limited to sports bars or a loud, dance oriented nightclub geared towards the college crowd. Our goal was to bring a nightclub that was timeless rather than trendy, our focus on the quality and variety of drinks with an upscale and inviting atmosphere. We quickly outgrew our first location, where we moved directly into the old King Cole restaraunt. Nicky's moved to the Guarinty building accross the street and did a full build out, desiging the lounge and bar area just the way we wanted.

The name for Nicky Blaine's is a mix of movie influence and good rhythm. "Ricky Blaine" was the last name of Humphrey Bogarts character in Casablanca. We wanted to appeal to women and men alike, so we chose Nicky as it was more androgynous and still had a pleasing cadence when spoken.

Nicky Blaine's is a full service nightclub and lounge, featuring our well known selection of martinis, a fully stocked scotch bar, a vast array of liquors and liquers, late night apps, glass and bottle wine and champagne, as well as an extensive array of cigars. Our well appointed lounge caters to both the intimate evening and the social night out. Sip one of our unique martinis at the bar and mingle with downtown Indy's finest, or settle back into a soft leather couch with a bottle of wine and a plate of fresh fruit and fine cheeses. Settle back in a comfortable armchair with a softly smoking Padron 1926, a snifter of Cognac, and enjoy an intimate conversation or just watch the crowd.
Our cigar "sommelier" keeps our humidors stocked with not only brand favorites, but also a rotating selection of rare, specialty cigars. Our appetizer and dessert menu is available until 2 a.m. Where else can you get chocolate fondue, a gorgeous fruit and cheese plate or scampi bruschetta at midnight? We are a popular place for a drink before dinner reservations on Fridays; come back after dinner and you will find our lounge has transformed into a busy, lively nightclub. Weekdays prove to be the favorite time for our regulars, perfect for the after work drink or that night when you just need to get away, listen to some jazz and treat yourself right.

Downtown Indianapolis has changed dramatically since we have opened; instead of a few choices now a wide variety of restaraunts and retail shops line the streets. The biggest change has been in our customers; they are very educated on what they want and how they want it served. It isn't unusual now to have a 21 year old request a perfect Belevedere martini with 1 olive and 1 gibson onion - and they want it done right. Indianapolis has fast become a refined, metropolitan city and we are proud to be a part of that growth.

The Jean Marc XO vodka martini. This wheat vodka is from the Cognac region,charcoal filtered through Limousin oak. Your choice of regular or specialty olives.

Hendrick's cucumber infused gin garnished with a caper berry and fresh rosemary.

The Stoli Elit vodka martini. This vodka is freeze distilled and filtered through Siberian birch charcoal. Your choice of regular or specialty olives.

Bacardi limon rum, simple syrup, club soda fresh mint and lime.

The Gin mojito. Stellar citrus gin , simple syrup, club soda, fresh mint and lime.

History of Cigars
It is believed that Spanish explorers first enjoyed cigars as made by Cuban Indians, which consisted of dried tobacco rolled in either palm or plantain leaves. The love of cigars spread through the Conquistadors and English sailors, who brought the tobacco and method to Europe. The first manufactured cigar was made in Spain in the mid 1800's using Cuban tobacco. Seeds were soon distributed worldwide by way of trading ships. Mass cultivation began in tropical climates along the spice route. In America, cigars were made by rollers who worked at home at first, then later in small family owned shops. It is estimated that there were 80,000 such cigar making operations in the United States in 1905.
Many modern cigars are still rolled by hand, hecho a mano, mostly the Central American variety.

Herbed crabmeat and shrimp mixed with fresh garlic, olive oil and romano cheese, then baked in a massive sourdough bread bowl. Comes with melted garlic herb butter and crackers.

Aged ten years in French oak casks, when it is tranfered to casks that once contained red Burgundy to finish its maturation. Notes of chocolate and coffee prevail against a silkly backdrop of red berries.

This mature malt has a full walnut and vanilla nose, with a fleshy palate of spice, wood and peat. The finish is firm, dry and nutty.

The nose is distinctly sherried, accompanied by toffee and cloves. Dried fruit and spice flavor on the palate with a medium long finish.

Burnished mahogany color, a nose of rich, dried fruit and spanish wood oak with traces of nutmeg. The palate is smoky and resinous.

We play jazz until 9:30p.m., and we place ultra-lounge until late. rat pack and lounge oriented. We make sure the tempo and tone fits the size of the crowd. We do not have live music at this time, though rumor and reviews will inform you otherwise.

While there is no enforced dress code, we are a quality establishment and many of our guests view Nicky Blaine's as an occasion above the rest. Your dress is at your discretion however at times casual wear might feel out of place in our environment. At your discretion.

We are located on the southwest corner of monument circle in Downtown Indianapolis. Parking is available in parking garages on Meridian and Washington, the mall, Denison lots and street meter. By law our club is 21 and over only. We reserve the right to refuse service. Please have your identification on hand as we do card everyone.

Banquets & Room Reservations
We have been the host to many exclusive events, from political fundraisers to social events and corporate functions. We are happy to reserve a section of our club for your party needs on Monday-Thursday night, until 9 p.m. All parties over 30 people require a $500.00 non refundable deposit, which will go towards your final bill.
We have an extensive banquet selection which you can tailor to meet your party needs.

We have excellent seating for large parties.s All parties of 6 or more people will have all items on one check with a 20% gratuity added. We do our very best to accommodate every group; due to demand our large party seating can be limited on weekend nights.
