Quite simply, our philosophy is helping you look and feel your best. Sun Spot brings a unique atmosphere to tanning. Enjoy a session in any of our six levels of tanning or in our VersaSpa sunless tanning booth. Sun Spot carries an extensive line of tanning, skin care, bath, and shower products. Once your tanning session is complete, freshen up at our makeup counter. Sodas, energy drinks, and water are available for your refreshment. We also carry a variety of Sun Spot and local school apparel.

Offering our clients the best value is important to us at Sun Spot. Whether you are just beginning to tan and are using our Silver level, or have great color and use our Diamond level you only pay for the amount of time you expose. Achieve your best possible tan by utilizing all the equipment levels we offer. Committing yourself to only one level causes a plateau that can only be broken when moving around. Lotions

Devoted Creations and Norvell are the brands of choice at Sun Spot. These phenomenal lines provide the ultimate in skin nutrition through the use of advanced skincare ingredients and superior formulations.

Over-the-counter lotions do not contain the necessary ingredients to maximize your tanning results and extend the life of your tan. Products purchased over the counter do not effectively replenish moisture lost during the tanning process. Devoted Creations and Norvell lotions are specifically formulated for indoor tanning.
Remember: indoor tanning lotions do not contain sunscreen. Use caution if using them outdoors.

Q) How long does it take to develop a tan?
A) This depends on your skin type, the lotion you use and your natural skin color. In general, the average person develops a base tan in 10 to 15 sessions in our Silver level. On your first visit, we will determine a schedule for you to follow, usually starting off with just a few minutes initially and gradually working up to a full 20-minute session. It is very important not to overexpose. Plan on 30 to 45 days to build your deepest longest lasting tan.

Q) How often should I tan?
A) You should wait a minimum of 24 hours between sessions. We recommend tanning two consecutive days and then skipping a day. Continue to follow this schedule until you reach your desired result. At that time, 1 to 3 sessions weekly will keep your tan looking great.

Q) I think I tan better without a lotion, so why should I use one?
A) Indoor and outdoor tanning dehydrates your skin. Tanning lotions replenish moisture that has been depleted during the tanning process, thereby improving your results. Not only will you tan more quickly when using lotion the color will be deeper and darker, will last longer and your skin will be softer and healthier.

Common Myth

Some people believe that the warmer you are during your tanning session, the darker your tan will be; that is not the case. The bulbs put off the same amount of intensity each time you tan. It doesn't matter if the bed is cold as ice when you get in, or if it feels like the Florida sun. You get the same great color during each and every session...no more, no less! Relax, unwind, and enjoy. How often are you able to get 9 to 20 minutes of peace with no interruptions?

Under no circumstances can more than one person be in a tanning room while the unit is running.
Clients age 16 and 17 must have a parental consent prior to tanning. The consent form must be signed in the salon; it can not be taken home.
Clients age 15 and under need a parental consent prior to tanning. The parent must stay in the salon during the client's session.

Many of our clients use our facilities primarily for the purpose of relaxation; therefore we prefer that you do not bring your children to our salon. Our technicians are not able to watch and care for them while you are using our services. If you must bring your children, they have to be able to sit and remain quiet. This can be difficult even for the most well-behaved little ones.
RETURNED CHECK POLICY
All returned checks are subject to a $32.00 service fee. Any client with a returned check will not be able to tan until the check and all fees are paid in full.
