Verbal Behavior Center for Autism is a not-for-profit treatment center that provides therapeutic services to children and families affected by autism. VBCA was founded in 2003 by a grassroots movement of parents who have children with autism and faced limited treatment options for their children. VBCA accommodates patients on a full-day and half-day schedule. The center conducts several annual fundraisers to help subsidize ongoing staff education, outreach efforts and scholarships. All fundraising proceeds benefit children with autism.
The two-day Verbal Behavior Workshop for special education teachers, parents, speech and language pathologists, behavior analysts, in-home trainers, graduate students and direct care staff primarily consists of lectures that will introduce you to strategies and techniques to teach the functional use of language.
