The law firm of Handlon & Handlon was established in 1986 by brothers, Steven W. Handlon and Michael C. Handlon. Steven W. Handlon retired in December, 2008, and Michael C. Handlon has continued to do business under the original firm name. Michael has over thirty (30) years of legal experience and while services are available in various areas of the law, his practice has a heavy emphasis on family law cases including divorce, post-divorce, child custody, legal separation, and paternity. His family law practice is limited to Porter County cases only. Fees for most legal services provided by the firm are established based on an hourly charge, and a retainer is always required. The amount of the retainer is determined based upon the type and difficulty of the particular case.
The law office of Handlon & Handlon is conveniently located on Willowcreek Road in the Portage Professional Center complex, immediately to the north of Centier Bank. Office hours are 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, but appointments are available before and after office hours, as well as on Saturday mornings.
