Friends Fellowship Community is more than just a place to live. It is a Continuing Care Retirement Community. Continuing Care offers a stable and independent lifestyle for single and married people of retirement age.
It offers security, social occasions, planned entertainment, nutrition, transportation, personal services and access to nursing and other health care services all in one location. Once you become a life care resident, you are guaranteed care and accommodations for life.
It is often tempting to prolong decision making because you are "not ready yet." However, it is important to plan your living arrangements carefully - and early - so you can direct your own future. At Friends Fellowship you can continue to travel, volunteer and enjoy life outside the community as much as you like.
Friends Fellowship Community is near the heart of Richmond, Indiana - a medium-sized city of around 40,000 people. Founded by Quakers in the early 19th century, Richmond combines a rich cultural heritage with homespun charm. Social opportunities abound - from theater, symphony and opera production to numerous activities at nearby Earlham College and Indiana University East.
Sponsored by the Indiana Yearly Meeting of the Religious Society of Friends, the Community was established as a not-for-profit corporation to provide a continuum of residential and health care for older adults. The original building was opened on February 6, 1965 and is situated on 125 acres of rolling lawns, with a pond, woods and ample space for walking and enjoying nature.
