St. Elizabeth-Catholic Charities is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to providing physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of our clients.
We are a human service agency, which recognizes and has a deep and abiding respect for all life. We provide comfort and quality service to those in need and we endeavor to foster an attitude of self-sufficiency in each of our clients. We strive to resolve crisis situations and empower our clients to regain a certain measure of control and order in their life. We offer eight different ministries:
Maternity Home - Housing for pregnant women
Transitional Home - Two-year housing for mothers and child(ren)
Adoption Services - Placements, domestic/international homestudies and birthparent counseling
Counseling - personal, marital, and family counseling offered on a sliding fee scale
Supervised Visitation - Facilitation of visits between children and non-custodial parents
CASA of Floyd and Washington Counties - volunteer advocates for abused/neglected children
Supported Living - Assisting developmentally-delayed adults with living independently
Outreach Services - monthly distribution of baby items and maternity clothing
