On Wednesday, September 15, 2010 I experienced something that I have not seen in many, many years in dealing with industry and construction as a past Corporate Safety Manager and Safety Consultant. I witnessed a crew from Perma-Seal under foreman Mr. Manny Rodriguez install a Perma-Seal basement system at my father’s home in less than a two day period.

Mr. Rodriguez and his crew took on a 2400 sq. ft. basement as professionals. I have not seen this type of dedication and work ethics (including worker safety and homeowner safety) in a long time. They made sure that they did not damage the structure of my home…and cleaned up after installation. I have heard from other friends that Perma-Seal had put in similar systems in their basements with great success in dealing with their water problems. Like I stated, it has been a long time since I have seen employees work as hard as this crew did. Hang on to this crew! I would also like to thank John Gall and Ray Meier for their assistance.

Consultant M. McEvilly couldn’t have represented Perma-Seal better. After having 2 major basement floods and a few minor ones over the years, I decided to give Perma-Seal a call. A rep came out a few days later and assessed my situation and gave me an estimate on the spot, very professional and 'no pressure. He did inform us, though, that they were so busy they wouldn't be able to install the system for several weeks!
I kept my fingers crossed during the weeks prior to the install that we wouldn't have anymore flooding rains. The crew came out and was finished the next afternoon. I'm writing this on July 24, 2010, after over 7 inches of rain fell on Chicago in less than 12 hours. I'm very pleased to say that my basement remained bone dry, so dry that my dehumidifier didn't even turn on. Needless to say I'm overjoyed with the Perma-Seal system in my basement.
