EMC provides our clients with complete environmental services by coupling our professional expertise with carefully selected, subcontracted specialty service companies (i.e. asbestos abatement, excavation, trucking, analytical services, etc.).
As general contractor to the specific project, EMC insures that appropriate subcontractor certifications, accreditations, training and insurance requirements are met before work commences and maintains both subcontractor agreements and certificates of insurance on file. Our primary capabilities and services are summarized herein.

Environmental Management Consultants, Inc. (EMC) has successfully completed another environmental restoration of commercial property in Evansville, Indiana. The previous presence of a leaking underground storage tank, a relic of it's prior use by a cab company and an ambulance service, had resulted in soil contamination. Three other environmental companies had worked on the site from 1993 to 2003. Utilizing soil vapor extraction and pump and treat techniques, processing approximately twenty (20) million gallons of groundwater, they were unsuccessful in remediating the site sufficiently to obtain the required No Further Action (NFA) from the Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM). EMC was subsequently hired to complete the site investigation and clean-up of the property and obtain the NFA.
EMC worked with the Indiana Finance Authority using Brownfield funding as a mechanism to finance the project. This funding method meant that the owner had no out of pocket expense for cleaning up the property. After an initial site investigation, EMC implemented the corrective action plan in 2007 to treat the soil and groundwater. The remediation consisted of chemical oxidation and enhanced biodegradation through several injection events from late 2007 through early 2009. After conducting quarterly sampling in 2009, EMC petitioned IDEM for the NFA. After reviewing all of the analytical data collected over the two year period, IDEM determined that the site was clean and issued the NFA.
