I have been in the business for almost 30 years. A&B WINDOW & SIDING CO. ( the A&B represents Angie and Bob) has been serving the folks in northwest Indiana since 1995. Our services include obviously windows and siding but also doors, roofs, gutters, soffit and fascia and much more. We are truly a family owned and operated business. My wife handles the administrative side of it. I provide folks just like you with all the information and product samples needed to make an intelligent and informed decision concerning your home improvement needs which are taylored specifically for your personal taste, comfort and budget. Our son Danny and his crew perform the installations. Oh, I can't forget Nic he is our 7 yr. old Karate Kid who keeps us all in line. We work 6 days and the 7th is dedicated to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
When planning this venture we wanted a business plan that would offer our customers the best products, installation and services at an unbeatable price. The decision was made to open a home based family run business. We are LICENSED, BONDED and INSURED. We, as the majority of the other businesses in our industry visit customers in their home. After seeing so many of these businesses fail ( studies show 87 % after only 2 yrs.) one reason being the tremendous overhead associated with a brick and mortar location, I felt the home based approach was an excellent idea. Keeping our overhead to a minimum would not only allow us to provide our customers with unbeatable prices for our top quality products but also help assure our ability to stay around for generations to come. Being so well aware of the fact that price alone does not guarantee success, we knew we also had to provide top notch installations and service. The only way we knew to do this was to have someone in charge of that department who we could put our complete trust in. Our son Danny fit that criteria. Because 99.9 % of installers get paid per window or per square when roofing or siding is involved, the installers main concern, generally,is to get the job done as quick as possible to get paid. Although not always immediately evident the quality of work usually suffers because of this. More than likely the installer will never see you again so what does he care. Danny having a vested interest in seeing our business grow therefore puts thought and effort into providing you with a pleasant experience showing respect and consideration for both you and your home.
When I come out to see you not only do I bring product samples, pictures and brochures but also 30 years of hands on experience in this business. I actually installed the windows and sliding glass doors for Lucielle Ball, Telly Savales, Jimmy Connors and many more celebrities at Turnberry Isles in North Miami Fl. in the 70's and 80's. I know what to recommend and why. Because your home improvement project is an investment for the long term you dont want someone with very little experience helping you. After assessing your needs and desires I will present you with a price........... and thats it. No pressure. We want you to feel comfortable with your decision. A substantial part of our business is referal. We want your referral business too.
