Discrimination ◊ Retaliation ◊ All Other Employment Law Issues
At the office of Stephanie Jane Hahn, Attorney at Law, we bring over 14 years of experience to clients with employment law concerns, handling a wide range of work-based claims, from discrimination and harassment to wrongful termination or violation of state and federal worker protection laws. We have represented unionized and non-unionized employees in both the public and private sectors. We do more than just litigate your case -- we can help you obtain both economic and non-economic goals, perhaps avoiding litigation altogether.
We have represented clients throughout Indiana, from Evansville to Fort Wayne, from New Albany to Merrillville, including teachers, factory workers, doctors, other lawyers and other employees from various service and manufacturing areas. We have successfully argued claims before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), Indiana state courts, federal courts in both the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana and the U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals for the 7th Circuit located in Chicago, Illinois. For a private meeting, contact our office via e-mail or call us at 317-569-2323.
Discrimination. We handle all types of claims based on unequal treatment or impact, including claims based on age, gender, race, color, national origin, religion, disability or pregnancy. We also protect the rights of workers who have been subjected to sexual harassment, including the creation of a hostile environment based on sex by co-workers and/or managers. To learn more, see our page on discrimination.
Retaliation. We represent workers who have had an adverse action taken against them for engaging in protected activities. Some of these activities include complaining internally or externally about discrimination against themselves and/or others, reporting employer misconduct, filing workers' compensation claims or filing lawsuits under state or federal worker protection laws. See our page on retaliation claims to learn more.
Other employment law matters. We protect the rights of employees in wage and hour claims, civil rights actions under various federal and state statutes and employment contract disputes. For more information, go to our page on other employment law matters.
