SALEM, IN, Oct. 4 Frank Kimmel II, Winston Wood and Chris Bailey walked away from Salem Speedway on Sunday afternoon with their names etched in the record books as season champions.
Kimmel, a third-generation driver from Borden, Ind., wrapped up his second consecutive Lucas Oil Super Stock title, while Wood, a second-generation driver from Bloomington, Ind., captured the Dave & Debs Winners Circle Street Stock championship. Bailey of South Park, Penn., held off West Virginias Frank Wilson to win the ARCA Truck Series title in his rookie season with the traveling division. Complete Story
POST-RACE RULE INFRACTIONS EXPECTED
(TOLEDO, Ohio) - When the checkered flag flew over Saturday's Kentuckiana Ford Dealers ARCA Fall Classic 200, third-place finisher Tom Hessert left Salem Speedway with the unofficial points lead in the ARCA Racing Series presented by RE/MAX and Menards.
However, Hessert's No. 77 Cunningham Motorsports team, and the No. 22 Dodge of teammate and race winner Dakoda Armstrong, each failed the minimum roof height requirement - per ARCA's 2010 Official Rule Book - in the post-race technical inspection. Complete Story
(SALEM, Ind.) - Dakoda Armstrong weaved his way through heavy traffic late in the Kentuckiana Ford Dealers ARCA Fall Classic 200 at Salem Speedway, holding off Joey Coulter all the way through the final laps to secure his second victory in ARCA Racing Series presented by RE/MAX and Menards competition. SALEM, IN, April 12.- Steve Arpin earned his first career ARCA Racing Series victory Sunday afternoon, winning the Kentuckiana Ford Dealers 200 presented by ApplianceZone.com at Salem (Ind.) Speedway.
Arpin, driving the No. 55 Tag Heuer Chevrolet from the Venturini Motorsports stables, powered around the outside of Joey Coulter on lap 142 and outran a hungry field to claim the win, leading the final 57 laps. For Arpin, the Salem win was special, as it also marked the scene of owner Billy Venturini's only career win as a driver. Complete Story
