What's the best Halloween treat?

In honor of Veterans Day, all Vigo County Public Library locations will be closed Thursday, November 11th. Normal business hours will resume on Friday, November 12th.

The Vigo County Public Library is participating in the 2010 Our Heroes' Tree project.
This is a community outreach project sponsored by the Military Family Research Institute at Purdue University. With the response from a large number of patrons in 2009, the library has decided to use a much larger tree to honor our veterans, active duty soldiers, and military families.
Stars have been cut out, laminiated, and a string attached by volunteers in the Young People's Department. Patrons may write a soldier's name, branch of service, and date, and hang it on the tree. If families would prefer, they may make their own ornament instead.
The Heroes Tree will remain in place through the middle of November.

Inspirational, Book, Adult
Two mothers and their lives are forever intertwined due to an accident that took he lives of their sons. Although the two families did not know each other, the community in which they both lived began to take sides. The each woman feels becomes unbearable as the domino effect of pointing the finger and blaming each other rips their families and friends apart. Fans of Jodi Picoult's writing will enjoy the same style from Cushman's faith-based book.
