Shopping Tips from June
Shopping Primer: Not all blinds & shades are alike. The important thing is to get what you pay for and to know what you are getting. Don't let someone overcharge you for a shade with cheap components!
Ask to see an actual sample of the shade when you are getting a price.
Make sure the brand name is on the quote and order form.
Always keep in mind, there are no unbelievable deals out there. If someone offers you a much better deal than their competitor, you will probably get cheated. How? They offer a much cheaper shade and but sacrifice quality to do it. This is a common industry practice. With window treatments you get what you pay for!
If you want the least expensive blind on your window.. we have those too. We will happily sell you one, if that is what you prefer. Ultimately, the choice should be yours and not the dealer.

Cord lock quality is important (a cheap one will shred the lift cords sooner)
Washability of cell shade
Paints & stains faid quickly on inexpensive blinds! CHECK THE WARRANTY!

The process is simple: find your digital camera, upload a picture of the window in question to the Hunter Douglas website and have fun putting different window treatments on your window!

We have cellular shades using the Comfortex ComforTrack that qualify for tax rebates as well as Hunter Douglas Architellas which qualify too. Live in your home for 4-5 years and with the savings on your heat & air utilities, your shades are free!
