Established in 1982, Price-Leffler has become one of the most respected names throughout the Midwest for honest, complete auction service.
Merv Leffler, having been raised on a dairy farm and involved with auctions at an early age, developed a great interest in the auction profession. After passing the Indiana Real Estate Broker's examination in 1968, he was called to military duty. After serving in the US Army, he attended Reppert Auction School in 1971 and immediately started in the auction business. Over the next 12 years, he conducted dairy auctions throughtout the Midwest. Over the last 30 years, he has sold auctions in 15 states. At the same time, Mr. Leffler was a working partner in an industrial supply company selling mill supplies to large industry throughout the state.
In 1982, Terry Price and Merv Leffler formed Price-Leffler Complete Sales Service. With Mr. Price being heavily involved with Holstein purebred cattle industry, it was a natural for the partnership be formed. Price-Leffler has conducted hundreds of auctions covering five states over the last 20 years. Price-Leffler pedigree services was established in 1986 and was one of the first livestock auction computerized catalog systems ever!
With backgrounds of farming, industrial sales and 30 years in the auction industry, Price-Leffler has a good overall knowledge of real and personal property values. As the name suggests, complete sales service includes both auction service and private treaty sales.
Joe Price, an employee since early youth, is a licensed auctioneer with the company and responsible for set up as well as selling. Eric Draper, recently licensed and very knowledgable in antiques and collectibles, is a valued employee and welcome addition to the company.
Pam Leffler, Kathy Price and Amber Price share the clerking and cashier duties and do a great job!
