We were visiting family in Bloomington & my sister had told us about the lovely little store where our daughter, who has taken an interest in harp, might see & hear one close up. Upon arrival, a very sullen dark-haired employee greeted us... well, kind of... she immediately asked if we had any harpists in our group. When we said no, that we were just hoping to show the children the instruments and hear a demonstration, she replied that they were "very busy" (there were no other shoppers & a second woman working in the back), & insisted that although she was herself a harpist, she couldn't possibly play even just a moment for the benefit of the children. She proceeded to stand there intransigent, arms literally crossed, while we showed the children the silent harps and showed ourselves out. Honestly, we live in New York City & have rarely seen such incredible rudeness and low customer service. All I can say is that this woman had better be very very good at playing the harp, to compensate for her arrogance and snobby disposition. She should also be reminded that one never knows who one might be talking to... could be someone very high in the administrative ranks at IU... or at the NYPhilharmonic. You just never know... Anyway we won't be coming back, or recommending this place to anyone in the future.
