The Imaging Center of North Central IN, Inc. is owned by Howard Regional Health System. It is at a convenient off-site location at 2201 W. Boulevard. The Imaging Center has scanned over 65,000 patients since opening the doors in 1993. OUr services include MRI, Breast MRI, 16 slice CT, PET/CT, X-ray and Flouroscopy. We have BOARD CERTIFIED Technologists and Radiologists reading your MRI scans.
CT (Computed Tomography), shows the bodys anatomical structure and aids physicians in diagnosing and identifying the staging of diseases, as well as customizing the treatment to make it as effective as possible. This state-of-the art technology translates into better care for our patients and greater confidence in diagnostics. No other system in the county offers the same level of performance and clarity in scans.
The ACR awards accreditation to facilities for the achievement of high practice standards after a peer-review evaluation of the practice. Board-certified physicians and medical physicists who are experts in the field conduct evaluations. They assess the qualifications of the personnel and the adequacy of the facility equipment. The surveyors report their findings to the ACRs Committee on Accreditation, which subsequently provides the practice with a comprehensive report.
The ACR is a national organization serving more than 32,000 diagnostic-interventional radiologists, radiation oncologists, and nuclear medicine and medical physicists with programs focusing on the practice of medical imaging and radiation oncology and the delivery of comprehensive health care services.
