Montessori Centres Pre-school and Primary school were established in 1966 to offer quality education to all children between the ages of 2 and 9 years of age.
Our Montessori environment provides a happy atmosphere for your child to learn reading, writing, arithmetic, sciences, social studies, foreign languages, art, music, and character development. Our programs are designed to develop each childs full potential intellectually, emotionally, socially and physically. Our methods provide a firm foundation of self-confidence and self-discipline while preserving your childs innate curiosity, motivation and love for learning.

Educating Children for 40 Years
Montessori Centres the first Montessori school that is still operating in the state of Indiana -- was started in 1966 by Evelyn Froehlich. She became interested in the Montessori Method as an educational option for her daughter, Annette, who has Downs syndrome. Mrs. Froehlich earned her certification in Montessori education from St. Nicholas of London in 1967. Upon Mrs. Froehlichs retirement, her daughter, Lynn Froehlich-Boone, took over the reins at Montessori Centres. Mrs. Boone has been the directress of the school since 1986.
Montessori Centres was located at North United Methodist Church until 1984 when it relocated to its present location.
