Q:Do you have a favorite beach that you like to work at?
A:My two favorite beaches are Barefoot Beach in Bonita Springs FLand Washington Park in Michigan City IN, but I also enjoy working at new and different beaches.

Q: Why do you wait until about an hour before sunset to photograph on the beach?
A: If we don't wait until an hour before sunset the sun is usually to bright, and my subjects would be squinting do to the bright sun. I wait till what I call the sweet light, that is when the sun really starts to get that beautiful golden color that makes my subjects look their best.
Q: Why can't you photograph more than one client on the beach in an evening?
A:When the sun becomes the sweet light I only have time for one family do to the portraits correctly.

What is The Coastal Connection? As you cruise around the Coastal Connections website youll see different styles of Family and Children Portraits that we offer. Along with our laid-back style, we like to make our portraits look casual and fun.

What is Hirsch Studio?
Hirsch Studios niche is photographing Family and Childrens Portraits on the beach and in the garden two spots Ive made my own personal office for over 26 years. While the style of Family Portraits may have changed over the years, the true meaning of family hasn't. Being together, hanging out and celebrating good times still means family fun. Whether your family consists of five or 25, my personal goal is to make your portrait experience enjoyable. My humor may seem a bit corny and my magic tricks a little on the silly side, but all family members are sure to be relaxed and entertained.
The Best job in the World
One perk of my profession is meeting very interesting families from all across the country. Its always fun to watch how families interact with each other. The children usually start out a little shy and by the end of the session they are my best friends. I have a great view in my personal office beautiful sunsets every night which I enjoy while getting to wear shorts to work.

Florida Family Photography
While most of my work is outdoors on the beach or in a garden, winter weather in the Midwest is not the best for my portraits. So, I started developing a clientle in warmer climates. On the Coasts I have discovered many beautiful beaches and lush tropical gardens; it's a natural fit for my style of portraits. Many times through out the year I travel to these warmer climates. A popular destination is Southwest Florida, which is a great meeting place for families large or small. Many clients vacation in the Sunshine State and contact me to photograph their families while on vacation.
