Serving home and business owners in Bloomington, Brown County, Columbus and adjoining communities, Designscape is a full-service landscape-contracting company offering complete landscape management for the life of one's property. From concept development and design through installation, continuing care, maintenance and management, Designscape strives for the right solution, working in concert with property owners to realize sustainable, sensible approaches that are pleasing to the eye, harmonious with the environment, and congruent with management philosophies and budgets.
Founded in 1986 by Dan and Deb Gluesenkamp, Indiana natives with degrees in natural resource management and botany, Designscape has fostered an intelligent course in landscaping and property management, operating within a a framework of Christian principles. Fifteen members of our year-round staff are Indiana Accredited Horticulturists, refreshing their certification at winter training sessions and conferences. Four have been designated Indiana Master's Horticulturists. Several of our employees have university degrees-in landscape architecture, landscape horticulture and design, geography, entomology, etc. Others are certified by the International Society of Arboriculture, the Office of Indiana State Chemists, Anchor Retaining Wall lLSystems and Rain Bird Corporation. Designscape customers enjoy more than 400+ years of collective experience in the landscape field.
