Salt Creek Golf Retreat is located adjacent to the Brown County State Park north entrance on Highway 46, just two miles east of Nashville, Indiana. The quaint little town of Nashville is known for its artist colony, featuring arts and crafts of the area.
The Retreat features a challenging 18-hole championship golf course. Two PGA golf professionals, Ben and Tony VanNess are onsite and available for private and group instruction. Corporate and private golf outings can also be arranged through the staff.
The course was originally built in 1991. It winds through the hills and ravines of the Brown County landscape crossing Salt Creek seven times.
Strategically placed sand traps and pristine lakes add to the character of the course. Bent grass fairways, tees and greens, and white sand bunkers give the course its unique character.
The course is a challenging 6,308 yards from the championship tees. The middle yardage is 5,832, while the forward tee distance is 4,866 for an overall par of 71.
A wide variety of clothing for men and women is available in the Pro Shop.
Located in the main lodge is The Overlook Restaurant. Casual upscale dining is available Thursday through Sunday.
Our Executive Chef Wayne Hawrys prepares a wide variety of specialty dishes. From fresh seafood to our mouth-watering steaks, he presents one of the finest menu selections available in the area.
The restaurant offers an extensive wine list and a full variety of import and domestic beers. Daily drink specials include martinis, margaritas and coffee drinks. Thursday nights throughout the year are Wine and Dine special nights. All bottles of wine are half price with the purchase of an entre.
One of the finest assortments of cigars in the area is offered to those interested in extending their evening after dinner.
Banquets, weddings and special events may be scheduled with the Event Planner, Diana Paine. Our facility will accommodate from 20 to 225 guests.
From an afternoon tea to a black-tie event, The Overlook Banquet Facility will provide unique ideas to make your event one of a kind. An extensive menu and bar service is available.
Recently constructed on the property is The Overlook Lodge. Condominium lodging for 1-4 guests can be rented nightly, weekly or for extended stays.
The units are fully furnished with all appliances, fireplace, full kitchen and a large deck overlooking the golf course. Packages are available for golf at the course and shopping in nearby Nashville.
A shuttle van will run to and from town in the high season for convenient shopping and sightseeing.
