The Evansville Dance Theatre School is a professional training program focusing on technical training in classical ballet and other related dance forms. The curriculum is designed to develop the dancer from beginner through a pre-professional level.
Through an innovative, progressive and nationally recognized faculty, each student is exposed to the attitude and intensive training essential to a career in dance and the performing arts. Developing through a disciplined and structured sequence of study, the strength and flexibility of a pure classical technique creates the foundation from which the performing artist expresses individual creativity.
In preparing the student for a successful dance career, EDT instills a love and appreciation of dance as an art form. The student acquires poise, control and self confidence, all of which remain for a lifetime regardless of their career path.
